ADJUSTING FONT BOX INDESIGN MOVIE
Now, there is one exception to this and that's in chapter one where each movie does actually build on where we left off in the previous movie. The reason I do this is so that you can jump right to any movie you want and you won't be lost even if it's in the middle of a chapter. That's what I do, so you'll see a nice, clean file at the beginning of each movie. At the end of each movie, after you've moved things or changed the file, you should go to the file menu and choose revert. It's not a problem, and you can work with a file exactly the same way I do in the movie. That just indicates that you've opened the file in a slightly newer version of InDesign than I created it in. Also, when you open the files from the exercise folder, you may see some of them appear with the word converted up in the title bar. Or you could click replace fonts and choose fonts that you have on your system. You may also see a dialogue box like this that says "You're missing fonts." As an Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber, you should be able to click the activate button in order to automatically download and install the fonts for the document. But if the image says that the links are missing, then you can click don't update links because those files probably aren't necessary for this particular exercise. Now, if you see a dialogue box like this one that says there are modified links, then go ahead and click the update links button. To open a document, simply double click on it. Many of these files have the same or similar name but are in fact significantly different in order to show off or discuss particular features in the program. The files have been broken down into chapters and if you're following along, it's important to open the correct file for each chapter. Follow along and learn by watching, listening and practicing.
